Lily Ann Fouts

These are the services I use to build my websites and business.

Occasionally I get asked about the business side of what I do.  I build all my websites on WordPress, which I highly recommend.  Below is a list of the resources I use and can recommend to someone interested in building a website, especially if you want to build a business!

NOTE: Some of these are affiliate or referral links.  There is no extra cost to you to use these links, but I will receive a perk or commission if you place an order through them, which helps to support my work, so THANK YOU if you use one or more of them!

I am a happy customer of each of the following products and never recommend anything I don’t think would be useful to you!  Just click the name of each service to open their website.

BlueHost

BlueHost is where I host my domains (LilyAnnFouts.com, TravelBeyondExcuse.com, and others).  They have excellent customer service and every time I have had a problem I have had someone from their support team walk me through it, even though I’m not a highly technical person.  Their rates are very reasonable, too.  They are awesome!

ThemesKingdom

I started using ThemesKingdom not too long ago, and I’ve been very impressed with their customer service!  For a reasonable flat fee I have access to dozens of different themes I can choose from and use on my websites.  They will install WordPress and the theme of your choice on your website for free to get you started!

AWeber

There are lots of e-mail service providers to choose from.  I decided to use AWeber after doing some research on the options.  I’ve also heard great things about MailChimp, and almost considered switching at one point, but ultimately I’ve stuck with AWeber.  They provide great tracking data, excellent customer service, and are a great way to build and manage your e-mail list.  They’re highly recommended by top people in the online business world, such as Pat Flynn (for whom I have a tremendous amount of respect), which is why I chose them in the first place.

LeadPages

LeadPages is a great tool to use to collect e-mail addresses from visitors to your website.  You can make great looking landing pages in minutes with LeadPages.  They also have a feature which makes it very easy to test several different versions of a landing page and see which one performs best.  They track all the conversions that their pages make and you can search for landing page templates by a variety of factors, including highest converting!

Fiverr

If you have trouble with any aspect of your business–logo design, web page optimization, mockups of your information products, ad or blog post writers, transcribers, video editors, artists or whatever, Fiverr is a huge marketplace of people ready help, starting at just $5!  The quality of the service varies tremendously from person to person, but shop around, check out the reviews, and give it a try.  Five dollars isn’t much to lose if it doesn’t work out, and you may find someone really great!  I’ve used them for lots of things, including book covers, mockups, data entry work, website optimization, transcription, and more.  If you’re new to Fiverr use my link to get a free $5 gig.

Thanks for checking out my list of resources!
